Daniela Pisoiu
Project Coordinator & Work Package Leader 1
Daniela is Senior Researcher at the Austrian Institute for International Affairs (oiip) in Vienna, with 18 years of experience in the study of radicalisation, jihadism, and right-wing extremism. Her research includes work on counter-narratives, alternative narratives, and the prevention of violent extremism. She holds a PhD from the University of St Andrews and is a member of the EU Knowledge Hub on the Prevention of Radicalisation.

Erik Hacker
Deputy Project Coordinator
Erik is Researcher at SCENOR in Vienna, specialising in violent extremism, terrorism, and radicalisation. His work focuses on monitoring German-speaking extremist online scenes and analysing trends in jihadist and right-wing violence. He holds an LL.M. in Law and Politics of International Security from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Daniela Härtl
Project Administrator
Daniela is Office Manager at oiip since 2007. She is responsible for the areas finance, event management and public relations. She has obtained a University degree in Political Science and subject combination (Sociology, Communication and Economics).

Javier Ruipérez Canales
Work Package Leader 2
Javier is Director and P/CVE researcher at the Euro-Arab Foundation for Higher Studies (FUNDEA) and specialised (inter alia) in radicalisation, violent extremism and designing intervention programs. Javier holds a PhD in Social Sciences of the University of Granada, three Master degrees and is member of the European Research Community on Radicalisation.

Łukasz Łażewski
Work Package Leader 3
Łukasz is Cofounder and CEO of LLInformatics, a software consulting company focused on building impactful digital products. With over 20 years of experience as a software engineer, tech lead, and entrepreneur, he specialises in leading high-performing development teams and delivering robust, user-centred technology solutions.

Kaashif Awan
Work Package Leader 4
Kaashif is a Senior Consultant at Enhancing Faith Institutions (EFI), specialising in the protection of places of worship and community engagement. He has extensive experience working with faith communities across Europe, focusing on security training, policy development, and capacity-building initiatives. Kaashif has contributed to several EU-funded projects aimed at enhancing the safety and resilience of religious institutions.

Stefan Meingast
Work Package Leader 5 & Project Manager
Stefan is co-founder and Chairman of the non-profit research organisation SCENOR located in Vienna, Austria. He looks back at 18+ years of experience in managing donor-funded projects and project communication. He holds a Master’s degree in Political Science, Communication Science and History from Ludwig Maximilians University Munich.

Adrian Cristea
Partner contact at Dublin City Interfaith Forum
Adrian is Executive Officer of the Dublin City Interfaith Forum and has been instrumental in promoting interreligious dialogue in Ireland. He holds a Master’s degree from Trinity College Dublin and played a central role in establishing Ireland’s first official interfaith forum, launched in 2012.

Angelina Vladikova
Partner contact at BRIDGES - Eastern European Forum for Dialogue
Angelina is Chair of BRIDGES and actively promotes interfaith dialogue in Bulgaria. An Eastern Orthodox Christian, she holds a Master’s degree in Ecumenical Theology from the University of Geneva and Château de Bossey. She also serves as URI Europe CC Liaison Officer, supporting grassroots cooperation among religious communities.

Andrianna Retzepi
Partner Contact Point KEMEA
Andrianna is a PhD Candidate studying political violence in Greece. She holds an MSc degree in International Security and Global Governance of University of London and a BSc degree in Political Science, University of Athens. Since 2017 she is Research Associate at the Hellenic Center for Security Studies (KEMEA) covering radicalization, violent extremism and terrorism.

Carla Napolano
Partner Contact Point at European Forum for Urban Security (EFUS)
Carla is Deputy Executive Director of the European Forum for Urban Security (EFUS). She holds a Master’s degree in Urban and Spatial Planning from the University of Venice and a postgraduate diploma in Town Planning from Paris VIII University. She oversees thematic European programmes, project development, and cooperation with institutional partners and EU authorities.

Tanja Berg
Partner Contact Point at Jüdisches Zentrum Synagoge Fraenkelufer
Tanja is a board member of the association Jüdisches Zentrum Synagoge Fraenkelufer and actively engaged in interreligious dialogue on issues related to democracy and conflict resolution. She holds a degree in political science and serves as Head of the Department for Democracy and Civic Education at Minor – Project Office for Education and Research.

Eva-Maria Schmidbaur
Partner Contact Point at Archdiocese Vienna
Eva-Maria holds a doctorate in theology and serves as assistant to the Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Vienna. She is responsible for fostering cooperation with other religious communities and contributes to interfaith engagement at the institutional level.

Inese Bulava
Partner Contact Point at Diakonija
Inese is Project Manager at the Diakonija Centre in Latvia, with 20+ years of experience in international project management and non-formal education programming. She graduated from St. Gregory’s School of Christian Ministry and today facilitates the development and delivery of educational programs for community service providers, religious servants, and other leaders.

Ioan Durnescu
Partner Contact Point at ESC
Ioan is professor at the University of Bucharest and member of the EU Knowledge Hub on Prevention of Radicalisation. His expertise lies in ethics and ethics assessment, with extensive experience in research projects and field work related to radicalisation and extremism.

Jonathan Russell
Partner Contact Point at Violence Prevention Network
Jonathan is International Director at the Violence Prevention Network (VPN). He oversees global partnerships and the adaptation of VPN’s deradicalisation and rehabilitation programmes to diverse contexts. His work focuses on bridging online and offline prevention strategies and supporting multi-stakeholder approaches to safeguarding communities.

José Martínez Marín
Partner Contact Point at Murcia Police
José is Head of the European Programmes department at Murcia Police in Spain and has expertise as criminologist, computer engineer and researcher in different areas of criminology (e.g., gender violence, cybercrime, use of force in law enforcement). He has participated in various criminology congresses such as in Porto, Ghent, New Orleans, Chicago and Barcelona.

Marco Dugato
Partner Contact Point at Transcrime
Marco is a Senior Researcher at Transcrime and Adjunct Professor at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. His work focuses on quantitative and spatial analysis of crime, including organised crime, illicit markets, and crime prevention strategies. He has coordinated national and international research projects on topics such as illicit trade, criminal infiltration, and security vulnerabilities of public spaces, including places of worship.

Marcin Podogrocki
Partner Contact Point at University of Łódź.
Marcin is a Research Assistant at the Centre of Biohazard Prevention at the University of Łódź. His expertise includes vulnerability assessment and the prevention, protection, detection, and response to terrorist threats, including those involving biological agents. He also serves as Project Manager of the EU-funded PROSPERES project.

Rasha Nagem
Partner Contact Point at Militants des Savoirs (MDS)
Rasha is Director of the French association Les Militants des Savoirs and holds a doctorate in educational sciences from the University of Toulouse Jean Jaurès. Her work focuses on preventing radicalisation and violent extremism through community-based education, digital literacy, and youth engagement.
